Summary: The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition includes the base game and all add-on content as the definitive way to play the beloved RPG from Obsidian Entertainment.
THE OUTER WORLDS SPACERS CHOICE EDITION XBOX PATCH
Overall, this release even with patch is for shame. You'll run out of all the bits in the game long before you can match your weapons level to 99 lol. And even if you did, it's useless as the weapon/armor tinkering doesn't scale and neither do enemies. The level cap of 99 is totally useless if you 100% the game and dlc's, there still isn't anything you can do to give you xp to get there. There are areas that were improved, most of them graphically subjective unfortunately. On both consoles, 2 different tvs, and any planet that is in night time. Oh, and the night time 'dark' is so dark that it is literally black and you can't see anything.

I mean, the hardware isn't THAT bad compared to series x. Series s really took it in the shorts for this release. Idk how a patch to improve framerate can make it even worse. There are some areas that will drop frames hard still. Series x after 1.1 patch is performing better. None of that is explained in the store descriptions. You have to go to the store page of the new version where you have automagically been given access (But not ownership) to install. But, although it looks like you get the new version by installing it with this add-on, that's not how it works. In order to get a new version of the game, you buy a DLC add-on for the old version of the game.
THE OUTER WORLDS SPACERS CHOICE EDITION XBOX HOW TO
Ps: it's also incredibly confusing how to actually access the new version. If the game hasn't appeared in my library by the end of the day, I will put in a report. I've never seen any other game deal with upgrades in this way. And even then, the store page still says "Buy it to own".
THE OUTER WORLDS SPACERS CHOICE EDITION XBOX INSTALL
I have to go into the store and find the product page and install it from there.
THE OUTER WORLDS SPACERS CHOICE EDITION XBOX UPGRADE
I'm sending in a report later, because despite buying the upgrade add-on, the Spacer's Choice version has not appeared in my game library. Now the game can't even be played once you progress past the first planet. I was still getting occasional crashes on the first planet but it wasn't game breaking bad. I have over 40 hours in Hogwarts now without a single crash, stutter, or any other problem. I can play Hogwarts legacy on ultra graphics with zero issues. I've tried multiple weapons and it crashes every time on the lowest settings. It literally can't handle the piss poor graphics optimization once bullets start flying. I turned all the graphics down to the very lowest setting which seemed to help but now all of 5 freaking minutes into this new area in the first combat the game crashes EVERY SINGLE TIME I enter combat. I just finished the first planet (had to decrease graphics to medium/high to prevent stuttering and frame loss) and moved to the space station colony ship and the game is now completely unplayable.
